1977 85 hp evinrude no spark from coils

Dear Forum,

I have not spark coming from the coils of my 77 85 hp evinrude. I need the first step to check and see what the problem may be so I can fix it and enjoy my boat. I cannot understand abbreviations or slang for instructions. Please be specific on your instructions.

The coils are feed from the Power Pack. Part # 0581895. About a $120.00. I'm sure there is a way to test it but still waiting for my manual.

BTW. I just posted a thread about my fuel pump. I recently received a new pump that has an additional outfeed. Could you provide a drawling or picture of your fuel hoses from the pump.
