I have an 1995 Evinrude 150 and I believe I have an issue with air getting into the fuel delivery system. The 150 will run up to 5k rpm an dies off unless you keep pumping the fuel bulb. We've tried using a remote tank directly to the 150 fuel intake with no success. Any thoughts?
OK, sorry I did not get any replies... but I solved the problem, which should be helpful to anyone else with the similar situation. If you prime the bulb and hear a hissing or air escaping noise it is the Vapor pump above the fuel pump. $100 part and every thing is fine. Also be sure to check the O-ring on the fuel filter. Hope that helps anyone.
