1971 20hp hard to start when warm

Ok ..probably something very easy but need some ideas. The motor starts no problem when cold but after running a few minutes and if i stop the motor. It's basically impossible to start it when it's warm. If i wait a little while for the engine to cool off...it starts no problem...any suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks

Is it flooding with fuel when you stop it? sometimes you need to adjust the float level. you need to determine if it's fuel or fire,good luck..
