Testing of ingnition coils on 1993 OMC

I have a 1993 OMC Motor. I am trying to find out how to test the ignition coil and then the control module. i have power to the input side of the coil but nothing going out and no sign of power on the line from the distributor.
The coil is " Diamond oil filled E-035 12V 22212. Thanks for any help you can supply me.
