How to check coils

1978 evenrude 175 . How can i check the voltage coming in and out of my coils ? I think i have one or two going out of the six. Any body please help.:

The way to check if coils are good is to take an oems metter and put neg. on the neg. wire and the postive on the wire pos. wire.. If you bairy the needle, it's good. If it does not move, replace!!!
