'94 150 Intruder - rectifier replacement

Received a new Evinrude "replacement part" rectifier. The new rectifier will fit fine, but has one less wire...it's missing the purple wire. What's up? No documentation with the new part.

Is there a service bulletin explaining?? Or is this the wrong part?

What is the part number that you have received? What is the model number from your motor?

The motor model no is E150GLERA
The original rectifier part no is 0584093
The new replacement part is 0439561

I've searched other forums and found that apparently the purple wire is no longer used/installed on the rectifer, and is left hanging unused on the wiring harness.
