Default 1973 25 hp evinrude fuel problem

i have gas in the vaccum line from the manifold plate to the small plate above the fuel pump when running more of a spit not full flow motors is running rich i replaced fuel pump thinking it was geeting there from bad pump what could be the cause ?

Some of the older Evinrudes recirculate the fuel through hoses from the manifold to the block. If you are running rich and have already changed the fuel pump, then check the compression and thoroughly clean the carburetors.

Default 1973 evinrude 25 hp fuel problem

i checked comp 150 psi per cyl . do you think float level could be the cause ? thanks woody

It maybe, its really hard to say. Just check the float for holes and adjustments check all fuel p***ages.

resoaked carb and reset float with evinrude gauge still same thing tried new float no change i am at a lost
