9.9 needs choke to idle
I have an 1992 evinrude 9.9 i recently put a 15hp carb on that came off of a 1992 15hp. the first few trips to the lake it ran great but the last time it ran good at full throtle but needed choked at lower speeds. It seems that it is sucking air some where and I cant figure out where. I have replaced the fuel pump and fuel lines. I even tried a new line and primer from the tank to the motor. I put a new gasket in between the carb and manifold. I have noticed a small crack in the plactic plate on top of the carb and tried to silicon it but am still having the same trouble. any advice would be helpful.
