Default Prop Shaft Seals

Hello, can someone please tell me WHICH WAY the prop shaft seals need to be installed on the bearing carrier?? I have scoured this forum and others, and have found: 1) back to back as the answer, 2) The lips facing out? 3) the bigger side of the rubber facing out?

I guess my biggest concern is what is the back of the seal vs. the front? What is the "lip side"??

If someone could tell me which way the the SPRING side should go for the inner seal and which way the spring should go for the outer seal, it may help solve my confusion...

THANK YOU

Lip(spring side) goes inward on inside seal to keep oil in and lip faces outwards on outside seal to keep water out.
