2006 Etec 90 and NMEA 2000

I have twin 2006 Etec 90s (Model No. E90DSLSDR).
I have talked to Evinrude and was told they are NMEA 2000 but they cannot communicate with the iCommand because they don't have a built in computer.

My question is if they are NMEA 2000 then can they communicate with Simrad or Garmin and if so what connection do I need?

It probably would not transmit engine data to network since it does not have NMEA 2000 compatable ECU on engine.
