engine trouble

yesterday i was out boating with my 1963 evinrude starflight 75hp, when all the sudden the engine stalled. now when i turn the ignition to the on position, i get no reading on my voltmeter and when i turn it to start, the engine makes no noise at all. my battery is charged and my accessorys such as lights and horn work fine. i searched for blown fuses and loose conections but canot find any. any ideas on what to look at? thanks
