I have a 1969 Yachtwin 4 that runs like a top except for one problem: every now and then, it just stops drawing fuel. If I catch it quickly and pump the bulb a few times, it will recover before it stops. If it quits and I prime it, it's OK again ... till the next time. I've had the fuel pump apart and can't find anything wrong. Ideas?
It could be a air leak in fuel line or connections, bad fuel pump or a air leak in engine intake. Check fuel lines and connections, may need to replace fuel pump and check gaskets on intake and reed plate.
