  • E-tec E200 engine will not lower all the way down?

Even when releasing the Manual Release valve screww, the engine will not go all the way down. Cycled it and tried 100 times, even stood on the lower end for more weight. No obvious blockage anywhere outside. Locks are all correct. No bends or other damage evident. Trim unit motor sounds OK. Lowers smoothly to within 50% of the trim range. Checked fluid level. No clunking or banging to a stop. Trim motor seems to be pumping OK. Thanks. Not sure what to order to fix this. No dealer in my area. What do I need?

PS Do you check the fluid level whne the engine is full up tilt?

We had some issues with trim sticking in full up position but don't remember seeing one stick in mid range. If it makes a popping noise the tilt tube bushing may be binding where motor pivots. Power trim unit may have to be dis***embled and rebuilt.
