I am trying to seperate the remote control box on a 1989 evinrude. the screws are out and it feels like it wants to seperate but i don't want to force it. The manual says to back out the allen screw that holds the shfit arm in place and tap on it. I did that however nothing happened and I don't want to break something. Any help or advise
