evinrude 115 won't trim down

    evinrude 115 won't trim down

    trims up just fine, I can hear the motor turning but sounds like it's not pumping,
    checked fluid on the resivoir and it's full. I guess it sat up in the upright position for about 8 months.

    If the motor is running but it would trim down, then there must be something wrong in the valve body.

      More power

      I had the same problem with my 140 Johnson. I was ready to pull things apart to replace the coupler between the motor and the pump when my wife said, is the battery ok? I hitched up am 2nd battery and it worked fine!!
      She always looks for the simple stuff first!!! Give it a try, maybe you will be lucky!!! John
