  • Evinrude diagnostics software and uaer manual...

I tried to get it on the parts forum here but the rep from boats.net said that BRP discontinued this? Does this sound right to you guys? I believe the part number was 5005058 on what I think I need. I have a 2003 225 H.O. model number is E225FHLSTA. If one of you guys can steer me in the right direction i would appreciate it. I have a usb to serial, but need the serial to the Controller. I have a bad injector on #5 cylinder I think. I need to run this software to find out and to replace the injector if needed. Thanks a million!!! KY TRITON

I'm using evinrude software version 4.2.

One more question. The coil in my injector is bad and i have a new injector on order. After I install the injector, do i then go into the software and press on "change Injector cylinder 5"? And the software will do the rest like, upload the new serial number and coefficients? or will there be more for me to do?

        Thanks,
        Charlie

The coefficients file will not come with new injector you will have to get a dealer to download it from dealer web site.

It's nice that you as a consumer can buy the software and run tests and view hours etc, but if you can't save money by being able to repair your own motor then its not for me. That's the reason why i wanted to buy a injector so I could do it myself and save money without getting a marina to finish the job by loading the coeffecients. I doubt that a marina would even finish the job for me anyway unless, they could get full labor on the job. Not to mention, they mark up the same injector that I can buy off boats.net for 487.00 to 601.00. for them not being able to get the part mark up cash, woild probably aggravate them enough to send me down the road anyway :-)...If they can't get all the money then its not even worth the trouble im sure. Oh well thanks boats.net for bringing this to my attention.

              Thanks,
              Charlie

With the program Evinrude Diagnostics you can load the Injector Coefficient File (file "serial number".dat) by yourself.
Evinrude E-TEC Models: Refer to the serial number label attached to the fuel injector electrical connector.
Evinrude DI Models: Refer to the serial number label etched on the fuel injector housing.
ACCURATELY record the 14-digit Serial Number (SN) and the 5-digit Checksum (CS) number from the injector serial number label.
Send these numbers for admin@diag-systems.com and in back-mail you will get the Injector Coefficient File.
