Hi folks first time here! I bought this boat about a year ago. It has a 200hp vindicator just as the season wind down i noticed white sludge coming out of the exhaust port and it didn't seem to run any different, i got worried so never ran it since. I was told could be too much oil from injection. If so how do i test or fix problem? And also when i took it in for winterize the mec said my lu has some metal shavings i told him its brand new. Could it be from a break in period? Please advise. Thank you

If it's still in break in period then it will use extra oil, how many hours do you have on it?

      1997 RUDE vindicator

Well the lower unit has only about 30 hours of use if that, but as far as the 2 cycle oil mixing with the water out of the upper exhaust port. Thats what i was asking about, srry. And i was concern about the metal shaving in the lower unit if its from the break in period or is it going bad aready. The motor is oil injection by the way. Please help with any knowledge of yours.THX

A small amount of metal on drain screw on a new gearcase is not uncommon but a large amount is, run for a 10 hours and recheck for metal. If it's not smoking excessive or fouling spark plugs then may not much to worry about but you might want to get the oil system checked to make sure.
