    Motor swap from 40 horse to 88 horse

    I am brand new on here and only have 1 year of boating under my belt so please be patient, I have a 24 foot pontoon with a great running 1986 40 horse Evinrude VRO, I got a great deal on a 1988 88 horse Evinrude that also runs great, is there any tips on what I may run into to swap these motors out? Thank you for any help

    It should be a easy swap controls and harness should connect to it.

      thank you I have not been able to get them side by side but everything looks identical
