I am new here. Just bought a used boat with a 48 hp SPL. The tilt is out of fluid and stuck in the down position. I opened the lower screw on the tilt to relieve pressure but still can not manually lift the motor. There are two tabs on either side of the motor near the mount. These seem to be holding the motor down. The tabs are frozen in place. What direction do they have to move to release the motor? I do not want to break anything by applying too much force.
