    How hot is it? No gauge just warning.

    Greetings the fire.

    I just bought a used boat/motor and have a question. The motor is an 1991Evinrude 115hp Pro Series. It runs very good. The boat, a 91 Tracker Magna 19' does not a temp guage. After about 1/2 hour of running we got a high pitched tone from a cylinder like thing about the size of a salt shaker. It has 5 or 6 little holes, (speaker?), on one end. It is located next to the ignition switch.

    Is this an oveer heat warning device?

    Yes sounds like the warning horn, probably time for a new water pump.

        There sure is a lot to learn here. How about this one?

        A buddy told me that the warning horn on my '91 Evinrude Tracker 115 hp has several different tones from beep beep up through steady sound. Can someone help me out with the meaning of the tone sounds?
