  • 2004 200hp EMM Issue???

    Hello all,

I am new to the forum here and am hoping you all can help me out. I have recently purchased an 04 200hp Ficht Motor and have been chasing a No Oil light. I have finally traced it down to the EMM I believe. I have confirmed that the pump is good and have done all the resistance test. I get 40 volts to the Oil pump when running and roughly 12 when the key is in the run position. The issue seems to be with the solid blue wire that goes back to the EMM. When I unplug it from the oil pump it shows the "No Oil Light" and when I test the ground at that point there is no issues (The ground is active). Soon as I connect it back to the Oil pump the light goes off and the ground is no longer grounded. My understanding this is supposed to happen. The issue at this point is during the Static test or even if the motor is running the ground signal never comes back to kick the pump on. Could this be a software issue or is a hardware issue with the EMM itself? It looks like I have the current MAP installed on the motor, but would it be worth trying to reinstall or reset it? ANY help would be much appreciated, this has been driving me nuts for the past couple of weeks! The motor only has 230 hours, and I would love to get it running right. I got it for an extremely good price, because the old owner couldn't get the issue fixed himself.
