I have a 2000 Evinrude 225 Ficht engine that stalls when put in gear unless the throttle is goosed. The boat tach made it look like it was idling at 650 or so but I put the laptop on it today and it is idling at 380rpm. It would stall when I put it in set ignition timing mode except I saw the goal was 23 BTDC and when it was idling that is where the timing was. There is no adjustment on the idle, EMM controlled but something has to be making it idle this low. No issues with the EMM and it was actually checked at DFI before the start of last season. Anyone know what affects this?
