Which 6 screws do I want to loosen to get to the shift rod? The top or bottom?

The bra$$ shift connector is normally right at the top surface of the lower unit... BUT... it may have the long shift rod installed, so that makes it a toss up decision.
If it were me..... I'd gamble on the bottom six screws. -
Top to get to the shift connector and bottom to get to the water pump. Got it pumping like a new one! Now if I can make it to the lake in the morning!!Comment
