2011 Etec 115hp Fixing Clearing Speedometer
I have an etec model: e115DSLIIB. I fish in shallow waters. The speedometer stopped working and I was told that I needed to clear possible the tubing from sand, mud, or what not. So I understand there is a black small tubing coming from the top of the motor into the lower unit, connecting a 90degree small tube which is stationary at the lower unit, at the front. I disconnected the tubing and it seems to be empty. I pushed a needle through the black tubing going up the motor, and then a small drilll bit to see if I would get sand out, but its clean. I then tried the 90degree small tube at the bottom and its also clean. So what now? I have to take out the whole lower unit? Any help?
