I have a 1976 25 hp and the motor runs but the prop wont spin. I just put a new shear pin in the prop as the other one had snapped. It won't work in forward or reverse. Any help would be much appreciated
Check all your shifting linkages. If good, remove the lower unit and check your shift shaft, at this point you can manually shift the lower unit into gear. This will tell you if the problem is in the lower unit.
