    About ZOD
Development of ZOD started over 4 years ago as a way to give the consumer (user) a secured, safe and sensible alternative way to perform engine diagnostics on Evinrude ® Ficht/DI series engines and Evinrude ® E-TEC ® G1 series engines. Written from the ground up with extensive testing performed to verify the accuracy using Evinrude ® EvDiagnostics v5 (standard version) as a basis for comparison.
ZOD contains an engine simulator that will simulate many of the real engine conditions. This simulator is a valuable evaluation tool and should help the user in learning proper use. Use of the simulator does not require registration.

ZOD has many other innovative features.

Choose from it’s extensive Options menu.
Check for Updates by clicking on the Update Icon
    Optimised for Touch Screen
Commands via finger gestures eg Take a screenshot by making a Left/Right/Left “scratch out” gesture
Adjustable Screen Scale and Icon Size making it easy to use on 10” tablets.
On reconnection, open to last page viewed. Especially handy if interrupted while diagnosing a problem.
Multiple Options as to which Page opens on Connection eg Open on Instruments Display Page
One Touch viewing of Screenshots. Eliminates the need to manually navigate to Screenshots Folder
Automatic Connection at Key On. Other Connection Options available.
Automatically Email a Screenshots (when taken) to a recipient(s) in your ZOD email recipients list.
Create PDF Reports and email direct via ZOD Email*
*ZOD Email is a ZOD support application that is used for sending all ZOD email messages. ZOD Email is not a Windows ® Service. It is a Windows ® application that resides in the task bar tray.

Also here’s a short Video I made about using ZOD to have an Auto Instruments Display at Key On by using the “Auto Connect at Key On” Option in conjunction with the “Open At Instruments Display” Option.

      Hi,
A Ztec Outboard Diagnostics (ZOD) update
      ZOD’s Finger Gestures.
This was part of the Beta version development however field testing of Gestures has revealed that, depending on the device used, it is not always reliable. At this time rather than release ZOD with an unreliable feature, Gestures will not be part of ZOD’s extensive line up of features.
Hopefully with further development this great feature will become available at a later date.”
      Cheers
