can anyone tell me what would cause oil to be in the left side of the air silencer, 2004 ETEC 150, the right side is dry.

    oil in the air silencer

I have a 225 with the same problem and found it to be a broken clamp on the oil pulse line going to the crankshaft. The clamp was replaced as was the foam gasket around the carbs, because the old one was soaked with oil and the problem is solved. The oil line that was loose was coming off of the VRO2 unit at the bottom.
