9.9 flywheel question
I have a 78' 9.9 and I want to add electric start (without charging system) my flywheel is #581676 with no electric start ring gear.
I purchased a 75' model (parts) motor that is electric start it has a #581174 flywheel with starter ring gear.
I have heard it will work on my motor and I have heard no it won't, which is it ?
I read about taking the ring gear off and having my flywheel turned down to accept the ring gear, which is not a major deal, but if the 75' flywheel will work on my motor, lit will be a lot less work.
