'92 E40ELENM (40HP) when in reverse makes clicking noise, and doesnt move
the boat very well. when it is out of the water and i have the flusher on it i can stop the prop with my foot when it is in reverse running. with engine off transmission in reverse i can turn prop by hand but it catches and releases one way and cannot turn it the other way. could it be an adjustment issue in shift linkage or a gear issue.
