  • 70 HP starter

I'm replacing the starter on my E70ELCNB, a 1982 if I read it right. It has a 9 tooth gear on it, but that doesn't check out with the starter part number. (the way I read it, there would be 10 teeth) So, does it matter? How do I get the right one? Thanks, Ddubyuh

Yes it matters. The part number for your starter is 391735, which changes to a 586281. Is that the number you say has the wwrong drive?
