Hi,
I am new to this Forum and have very recently bought a 1960 Lightwin. Having stripped the engine I am impressed by the design, and by the very small amount of wear in the engine's rotating parts and pistons, particularly for a 50 year old 2 stroke! The engine appears to be light-years ahead of the equivalent Seagul and Anzani of the same period. I should like to keep it that way and should be grateful for any advice regarding the correct fuel/oil mix for the Lightwin, using a modern two-cycle outboard oil.
In addition, are there any online handbooks or manuals for the engine, and, given that the engine will be used almost exclusively in salt water, any advice on the best way to flush and clean the internal p***ages?
